How to Build a Shoe Rack for Garage
Step 1:
Take out the pallet from your store. Actually, I had a pallet in my store, and I thought to make a shoe rack from it instead of throwing it out. My pallet was in the shape of a box, so I pulled out each length.
Step 2:
Take out unnecessary things like nails and hinge etc. You may find some nails strenuous to pull out. However, you can use pliers to remove bent nails.
Step 3:
Make the plan how you want to design the rack. As it is a DIY pallet shoe rack project so I decided to make it as simple as possible. Sketch in your mind and attach the pallet’s lengths together with screws. To make your work easy you can use an electric screwdriver.
Step 4:
In our DIY shoes storage ideas project, the fourth step is making shelves. Remember that the size of the shelf should be lesser than the frame so that it can fit inside the frame. Now, use Fixit blocks and screwed them.
Step 5:
Now attach the supports on each side. I used pallets wood for the support by cutting a few pieces. Making a shoe rack with pallets is one of the best DIY shoe rack plans you can adopt. Another important thing you should keep in mind that attach the supports with the frame in a way that felt very sturdy.
Step 6:
Now use sandpaper to smooth the edges and surface. Do this in a way that all the sides of the frame look very smooth. Well, if you are searching for a DIY shoe rack for small space, this is the best plan.
Step 7:
Now the last step in our DIY shoe organizer ideas project is finishing and placing. You can use a varnish or a coat of paint for finishing.
