Aimed to design spaces according to modern architectural trends and environmental safety standards, Vincent Callebaut Architectures is a Paris, France based design studio.Vincent Callebaut Architectures is referenced as the best eco-prospective and visionary architectural firm by the Time Magazine. The firm is ranked in the top 50 of the Green Planet Architects and considered Biomimicry specialist with over 50 projects to his name, including many currently under construction.
The firm has recently designed a 32 storied, 377 ft high building which is planned to be constructed at Cebu, Philippines dubbed Rainbow tree. This is a multy-purpose building which includes office spaces, residential units, restaurant, spa and swimming pool. However, rooftop is planned to grow vegetables. To meet with LEED Gold and local BERDE 4 Stars green building standards, the building is being electrified by Solar and wind power.
Basic structure of the building is built in Cross laminated timber modules, to protect its strength and durability, wood used for cladding is seasoned by a special Japanese technique. The architect has wisely added carved wooden balconies to make prominent 30000 plus tropical trees plants and shrubs from outside.
